The purpose of the Generation and Translation of Nursing Science RIIG is to promote excellence in research in the diverse clinical settings of our members. We will strive to showcase the collaborative partnership between PhD-prepared nurse scientists and DNP-prepared clinicians. For example, nurse scientists generate new knowledge, and DNP-prepared clinicians are responsible for translating that new knowledge into practice. This RIIG strives to create a network of community researchers to facilitate the sharing of best practices and lessons learned in the conduct of research. These challenging times and research in clinical settings are more important than ever before in generating new knowledge to improve quality outcomes, reduce healthcare delivery costs and disparities, and improve population health.
