SNRS is pleased to announce two new awards in 2014 for SNRS members:

  • With our partnership with the journal Research in Nursing & Health (RINAH), we are offering the Research in Nursing & Health Authorship Award. This is a $1,000 award to a SNRS member who disseminated research findings, or important theoretical, or methodological advances in the official SNRS journal, RINAH, within the past year.
  • The SNRS Early Investigator Award seeks to recognize the contributions of a nurse scientist early in her/his research career, who shows potential to develop sustained programs of research, and has the potential to enhance nursing science and practice.

Brilliant New Investigator Award

The purpose of the Brilliant New Investigator Award is to recognize the contributions of scientists early in their research careers who show extraordinary potential to develop sustained programs of research, have significant impact on science and the practice of nursing health care. Applications for this award are due by April 13, 2014 at 12 midnight ET.

Outstanding Nurse Scientist Award

The purpose of the Outstanding Nursing Scientist Award is to acknowledge Council members whose sustained programs of research have had significant impact on nursing and health care knowledge development with recognizable benefits for nursing practice and health care. Applications for this award are due by April 13, 2014 at 12 midnight ET.

The American Nurses Foundation is excited to announce the expansion of our Nursing Research Grants program with the support of $30,000 in funding provided by the American Nurses Credentialing Center to support clinically based research.
