Information for Advertisers
SNRS began in 1986 and has grown
by at least 20% every year. In 2001,
we have exceeded 1,000 members. The
majority of our members (85%) hold
doctorates and are active researchers.
About 10% of our members are doctoral
students who will be looking for employment.
Other members, with master's degrees,
are often involved in clinical research.
Our members are influential leaders
in the nursing community and many
are known internationally for their
high quality research.
Advertising through
SNRS can reach people who are interested
in relocating, people who are ready
to enter a degree program, or people
who want to test new pharmaceuticals
or equipment. Our newsletter, Southern
Connections, and our journal,
the Southern Online Journal of
Nursing Research, reach our members
many times each year. Plus our members
log-on to our web site frequently;
there they get information about the
next conference, read abstracts from
previous conferences, and dialog with
their colleagues via online forums.
SNRS accepts only ads
that are congruent with the profession
of nursing and with the mission of
the society.

Telecommunicated files sizes
should be under 5 Mb in size to allow
for reasonable transmission times

Be sure to enclose all support
files (linked files with your final
document. Also make sure those
files are editable.

When using any scanned image
(grayscale or 4 color) please be aware
of the quality of the digital file(s)
you are sending. Low resolution
or poor scans print poorly.
Images should be approximately 300dpi
and used within 15% of their size.
Scanned images should be SMYK or B/W
halftone not RGB or indexed.

Names of files submitted match
exactly link names in page layout
program.
¨
Colors are named consistently
in all files and on all printed material.
¨
Unnecessary colors are removed
from the color palette.
¨
Avoid nesting or embedding
images and graphics.
¨
Art department will preflight
submitted files within 36 hours and
notify marketing of alternative files
needed.
